Charlotte really came into our/my life when our children were
born. I remember so many times that she baby-sat, not only with
the kids, but also with Anne, when I was out of town on business
trips.
Then, each Christmas and Birthdays of our children, Charlotte
always provided a lot more, and more expensive, stuff than we
could. And we appreciated her caring so much.
Charlotte was a wonderful sport, hauling my family around on her
many vacation trips - both the boys and the girls and even Anne.
Thanks to Charlotte, Anne was able to be included in Philip and
Susan's trip to Hawaii. Now that was really something that I know
they both enjoyed, and Anne would not have been able to make it,
were it not for the generosity of her sister.
Of course, while Charlotte was working at Humko, I remember taking
her and picking her up occasionally, usually when her car was
in the shop. There was one other time, but Charlotte, I won't
mention THAT!
Lastly, it seemed that every Christmas Charlotte honored me with
either a Soap-on-a-rope, or with Cologne & After Shave lotion.
Do you think she was hinting something to me?
Seriously, Charlotte has been a big part of my family, and I know
she always tells people that our kids were her kids too.
