My mom, Tracy Newman and I will be appearing at the Grant R Brimhall Library (1401 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks) for the kick off of  1000 Books Before Kindergarten national reading program on Saturday, May 16th at  10:30 AM.  Tracy will be performing selections from her latest CD,  I Can Swing Forever.  I designed and created all the artwork for the accompanying Singalong Coloring Book. Tracy and I will also talk about the collaborative process of working together as a parent and child on this project. 

The 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program encourages preschool children to read with the adults in their life by recognizing their efforts and offering incentives along the way.  I hope you'll be able to join us.  Bring your kids, grandkids and anyone you know who loves music and reading!

An ALL NEW show of Charlotte's Shorts will be @ the Groundlings on May 12th, 2015. Charlotte’s Shorts is a 90-minute comedy show featuring eight of the world’s greatest actors reading fictional short stories, letters and emails. One night only!

My mother, Tracy Newman and I will be appearing at The Land of Nod (3333 Bear Street, Costa Mesa) on Saturday, May 9th from 10 AM- 12 PM in celebration of our latest collaboration: a kids CD/Singalong Coloring book, I Can Swing Forever. IT'S A FREE EVENT!  Tracy will be singing songs from the album, while I'll lead a coloring session with the kids.  If you're not familiar with The Land of Nod, you should come join us and check out the store.  It's full of great furniture, decorations, toys and gifts for the little ones in your life.  We think it's the perfect place for us to launch the release of I Can Swing Forever.  We'll have copies of the CD and coloring book for sale. And it's Mother's Day weekend! Bring your kids, grandkids and moms and spend the day singing, dancing and coloring!    

THIS Saturday, Feb 7th at 8pm: Tracy Newman will be performing at Beyond Baroque for Poetry in Motion Presents An Evening With Tracy Newman and the Reinforcements with stories from "Charlotte's Shorts" performed by Lynne Stewart and Bridget Sienna, hosted by Eve Brandstein.
